This is a 1940s "RICHARD" ss 35mm water proof chronograph with the famous Valjoux 23, silvered snail dial. The 35mm screw back waterproof case with side stepped design and rounded curved lugs is reminiscent of early Rolex waterproof chronographs. The dial is a wonderful design unique to the 40's that includes a telemeter, snail tachymeter and mirror print Arabic numbers, and the textured aging process attracts great taste. It is a gem that makes you feel the height of quality even though it is an obscure system, such as equipped with the famous Valjoux 23 that many brands such as Patek Philippe and Rolex had adopted.
