1950s Gallet Val-72 Stainless Steel 38mm Water-resistant Chronograph Black Gloss Dial Mint

This is a beautiful 1950s Garrett ss 38mm water proof chronograph with the famous Val-72 with a very rare black gloss dial. The dial design is a wonderful combination of multi-scale, jumping numerals and cannonball indexes, which is very rare for Garrett chronographs, which often have simple dial designs with luminescent Arabic indexes. The massive 38mm screw back water resistant case is in excellent unpolished condition, and the black mirrored dial with multi-scale design is in excellent condition, retaining its original radium luminescence and iridescent oil film. This is a miraculous piece in excellent condition, as if the model came straight out of the 1950s, including a vintage strap that appears to be from that era.
