Manufactured in the 1940s, this is a rare black snailed dial with Everard Cal.16 line, SS 40mm oversize chronograph. It is equipped with the Cal.16 line, which is different from the later Cal.14000 and has wonderful curves and finishing. The oversized case of 40mm in diameter gives the watch an overwhelming presence, and the intricate and detailed black snails dial gives the watch a wonderful appearance. The Cal.16 line is equipped with a start, stop and reset function at the 2 o'clock pusher, and a sliding mechanism at 4 o'clock that can be slid upward to perform a hack mechanism while the chronograph is running, a mechanism unique to Everard. The chronographs from Eberhard have been attracting attention in recent years for their unparalleled originality, design, and quality, including the impactful oversized case that houses the original chronograph movement and the intricate, complex, and stunning dial design.
