Manufactured in the 1940's, this is an 18ct yellow gold 40mm rare step bezel chronograph yellow snailed dial with Everard Cal.16000. It is equipped with a large chronograph movement Cal.16000 with a unique mechanism of Eberhard. 2 o'clock position chrono button is for start, stop and reset, and 4 o'clock position which looks like a button is a sliding mechanism, and when it is slid upward during chronograph operation, it is a hack mechanism. The 40mm stepped bezel case gives the watch an overwhelming presence, and the yellow snailed dial with blued steel hands is a gem of color. Although the watch is aged, the natural taste of the dial, which retains its color and intricate print, and the stepped case, which retains its original hairline and shaping, are also appealing. The original movement, oversized case, and excellent dial design make this chronograph by Everard especially popular in Italy.
