Manufactured in the 1940s, this JARDUR "Bezel meter" ss 37mm oversized chronograph with Valjoux 71 has the popular black gilt dial.
The unique and original design of this chronograph was designed for pilots, and the combination of a rotating bezel with countdown and a multi-scale dial made it possible to measure flight times and perform GMT functions. At the time, only Breitling and JARDUR had such a function, and the original design of this special function is truly functional beauty. The Bezel meter is available in many variations, including the Val-71, the later Val-72, and in water-resistant and non-water-resistant cases. This model is an early model equipped with the rare Val-71, and the dial has a clean design with luminescent Arabic indexes and 24-hour notation.
