This is a very rare sector dial of a ss 35mm step design chronograph with "JAEGER" Universal Cal.285 manufactured in the mid 1930s. It is equipped with the famous Cal.285 made by Universal, a famous manufacturer of chronographs. The step design case is made of ENVERSTEEL, the same material as Universal's of the same age. Most of the sector chronographs of the 1930s that used movements made by Universal, Jaguar, Zenith, etc., were large 15-line size machines (about 33mm), and sector dials using 14-line size Cal.285 (31mm) are very rare. This is a rare item that seems to be the latest sector dial and only the very early Cal.285. There is a flaw at the 4 o'clock position on the dial, but the price is very reasonable for a sector chronograph with a rare, well-designed, and world-renowned Universal movement.
