This is a very rare 35mm "Hermetico" chronograph with a black gilt multi-scale dial, featuring the Venus Cal.170 movement, manufactured in the late 1930s under the "THUYA" brand. It uses an early waterproof snap-back case known as "Hermetico." While the 33mm Hermetico case with the Venus Cal.170 is occasionally seen, the larger 35mm version is extremely rare in the market. The design includes a step bezel, large pushers, and a snap-back case, giving it the solid, heavy feel typical of early waterproof cases. The black multi-scale dial, crafted using the gilt technique, has a rich, compact design. Though from an unknown brand, this piece is highly regarded by enthusiasts for its outstanding design and quality.
