This is a rare Omega "De Ville" Cal.861-equipped waterproof chronograph manufactured in the late 1960s. Its tropical dial has changed uniformly over time to a champagne color, showcasing a fantastic hue and vintage style. It is a remarkable piece. Equipped with the renowned Cal.861 movement, which was also used in contemporaneous Speedmaster and Seamaster chronographs, and featuring the solid screw-back waterproof construction typical of that era, it is highly recommended as an everyday vintage chronograph.
The De Ville chronograph comes in various variations, including black, silver, gray-toned, and blue dials. The combination of a single-tone dial with white hands and the characteristic aging of colored dials suggest that it was originally a blue dial.
