Manufactured in the mid-1950s, this is a masterpiece from International – the first-generation "Ingenieur." It features an extremely rare blue dial. While it is unclear whether the color resulted from aging or was present at the time of manufacture, this exceptional piece showcases a stunning hue reminiscent of ice blue.
Similar color variations have been observed in Rolex chronographs of the same era, such as the Ref. 6234, though it remains uncertain whether this was due to the dial paint used at the time or the effects of luminous material.
Beyond its captivating color, this timepiece retains the signature elements of the first-generation Ingenieur, including wedge indices and dauphine hands, adding to its appeal. It also comes with its original bracelet, which perfectly complements the distinctive dial and accommodates wrist sizes up to 18.5 cm.
