This is a highly rare 1950s Movado "Celestograph" Triple Calendar Moon Phase model with a stunning pink two-tone guilloché dial and an 18K pink gold case.
It is equipped with the Cal. 473 movement, an improved version of the Cal. 155, which was originally used in Hermet models. The watch features a well-balanced calendar display, with the month and day at 12 o’clock, a moon phase and small seconds at 6 o’clock, and a pointer date function. It also includes a quick-set mechanism, combining both elegant design and practical functionality, making it a highly sought-after model.
Compared to the Calendograph models that use the Cal. 475, the Celestograph with Cal. 473 is produced in significantly smaller numbers, making it an exceptionally rare piece. Additionally, it features a screw-back waterproof case in 18K pink gold—manufactured by FB (François Borgel), the same case maker chosen by Patek Philippe—as well as a pink mirror-coated, guilloché-finished two-tone dial. Among the already rare Celestograph models, this particular example is exceptionally scarce and highly valuable.
