This is a beautifully preserved and extremely rare early automatic "Stapler" model from Wyler, manufactured in the 1930s. Nicknamed "Stapler" (Hotchkiss) for its distinctive mechanism, this unique and scarce early automatic watch features an innovative movement unlike any other. By operating the movable case back up and down like a stapler, pins on the inner cover are pressed in, winding the mainspring.
Time adjustment is done by pulling and turning the crown, which is designed with a back-wind mechanism. The solid, wide rectangular case embodies functional beauty, while the two-tone Art Deco dial reflects the aesthetics of the era, making this a truly valuable collector's piece.
