This is a beautiful and rare mid-1940s Omega "Big Cosmic" triple calendar moon phase model with a pink gold-plated 37mm case.
It is equipped with the early Cal. 27DLPC movement, which features a triple calendar and moon phase function. While most Cosmic models typically feature a 34mm case, this exceptional piece boasts a striking 37mm case, offering a commanding presence. The larger case size allows for a dial design with remarkable impact, giving the watch a distinctive and impressive character.
The calendar display is in French, and the 11 o’clock lug bears a crocodile hallmark, signifying Swiss gold-plated products, along with the "PL" (Plaqué, French for gold-plated) engraving. These markings indicate that the watch was originally shipped for the French market at the time.It comes with a genuine gold-plated buckle made by AW, which was also used by Patek Philippe.
