This is a late-1960s Eterna "Eterna-Matic 1000" stainless steel (SS) waterproof automatic date model with a silver dial. The dial features a timeless, simple design combining bar indexes with bar-shaped hands. The screw-back waterproof case is remarkably thin for an automatic model, reflecting the era's design sensibilities. The watch is equipped with an automatic movement that includes a convenient quick-set date function: pull the crown out one notch to adjust the time, and pull it out two notches to instantly set the date.
Additionally, it comes with a rare Gay Frères bracelet designed for the Kontiki series (marked "4/66" and adjustable for wrist sizes up to 19.5 cm).
