Manufactured in the late 1930s, this Longines watch is equipped with the Cal. 15.26 movement and features a Staybrite 37mm Big Calatrava case. It boasts a rare porcelain dial. The large Cal. 15.26 movement, which was also used in Czech military models from the same period, is fitted inside. The flat bezel enhances the beauty of the Calatrava case, and the heavy feel of the large movement gives it a solid presence. The rare porcelain dial, which remains unfaded, showcases the era’s aesthetic and offers a wonderful sense of taste. Uncommon in Calatrava cases housing 15-ligne movements, this porcelain dial features a 24-hour display (in red) on the outer edge, a black railroad track design, and dolphin indices (in black) toward the center. It is complemented by blued steel Breguet hands, creating a balanced design that, along with the Big Calatrava case, highlights its beauty. The craftsmanship typical of older Longines models is also evident, with matching serial numbers engraved on both the case and the movement, adding to its allure.
