A masterpiece from Universal, the 'Tri-Compax' waterproof calendar chronograph, manufactured from the late 1950s to 1960. First introduced in the 1940s, this iconic model by Universal features triple calendar, moon phase, and three-register chronograph functions. Over time, its water resistance, design, and functionality were improved, evolving into a more practical and functional timepiece. This particular piece, without a tachymeter scale, features a tapestry dial combining long bar indexes and dolphin hands, housed in a screw-back waterproof case with twisted lugs that reflect the style of the era. The patina that has developed into a champagne color adds a wonderful character to this exceptional piece. Compared to later color models, this one still offers an attractive price point.
