This is a popular waterproof Calatrava with a silver Arabic dial, featuring the renowned Cal.83 movement by International (IWC), manufactured around the 1940s. Despite its small size, the watch has a substantial and solid feel, with a screw-back waterproof case. It houses the Cal.83, a small seconds movement that is a signature of International. The dial has a simple and beautiful design, combining printed Arabic numerals with blued steel leaf hands. Though understated in both design and size, it showcases the distinctive presence and rugged reliability for which IWC is known. This is a rare dual-signature model, originally sold by the jewelry store 'Emil Kofmehl' in Zurich, Switzerland.
