This is a beautiful item manufactured in the 1940s, a popular PP.565 design by Doxa, featuring a Stelline Stalite 28mm waterproof model with a silver dial. It adopts an FB company-made screw-back case reminiscent of the Patek Philippe Ref.565. Despite its compact size, the Stelline Stalite case, with its distinctive FB case, exudes a sense of weightiness and is a remarkable piece that fully preserves the original shape and volume, showcasing a unique presence beyond its size, thanks to its non-polished appearance.
The overall preservation condition is excellent, and the silver dial with luminescent paint has aged beautifully. The dial, as well as the hands, retain the original radium luminescence from that time. Doxa's PP.565 design comes in various sizes, including 35mm and 24mm variations. Apart from the 3-hand model, Doxa, particularly among lesser-known brands, is highly regarded for producing numerous models with excellent design and quality, such as chronographs and military-inspired pieces.
