Manufactured in the late 1940s, this Longines chronograph is equipped with the renowned Cal.30CH movement and boasts a rare 18K rose gold French case with a flyback function. During that era, due to tariff-related reasons, dials and movements were shipped separately, and this model represents a scarce example from a time when the cases were manufactured and sold in France. The eagle stamp on the mid-case and case back signifies the French case, showcasing a distinctive and weighty case form typical of French cases, with an oversized case exceeding 37mm, providing an overwhelming presence.
The dial is also noteworthy, featuring a rare pink base with a white circle reminiscent of the 13zn design, and it exudes a rare aesthetic. The watch exhibits characteristics unique to the early Cal.30CH, such as the non-wing design and the beautiful Côtes de Genève finish, adding to its charm.
