Manufactured in the 1940s, this is the Leonidas flagship model equipped with the renowned Valjoux 22 movement. It features a 38mm screw-back waterproof case, a black dial, and a chronograph function. The watch houses the exceptional Valjoux Cal.22, known for its shock absorber, developed by the Valjoux company. Leonidas's unique design includes a step design and a screw-back case, unlike the conventional method of screwing the case back into the middle case. Instead, the middle case is screwed into the case back, creating a distinctive construction.
The watch boasts excellent visibility with a black dial using luminescent paint. It shares specifications equivalent to the "RLM-Nav" supplied by Leonidas to the German Air Force, including high-grade chronograph functionality. Despite minor scratches and signs of aging, the watch exudes a wonderful taste reminiscent of military watches.
