This is a beautiful specimen of an early 1960s Zenith timepiece featuring the renowned Cal.135 movement, known for its popularity as a chronometer with a screw-back and waterproof design. It boasts a silver dial that enhances visibility with its sporty impression, featuring wedge-shaped hour markers at 3, 9, and 12, all set on a matte silver base. This watch is a true sports-type chronometer, housed in a screw-back waterproof case with long, rounded lugs.
The dial shows no signs of aging, and the stainless steel case remains sharp and polished, making it a truly exceptional collector's item. Zenith's Cal.135, a masterpiece among masterpieces, was manufactured from 1948 to 1962, with a total production of 11,000 pieces. It has recently gained even more attention, as it is set to be sold in a limited edition of 10 pieces at Phillips for 132,900 Swiss Francs (approximately 18 million yen), further increasing its desirability."
