"Manufactured in the mid-1940s, this is a rare Longines Stop Second Minute Recorder Ref.5681 with a 37mm waterproof model and a black dial. It is equipped with the Cal.12.68z movement, which adds a 60-minute counter to the regular stop second model that has a 60-second counter. By starting the chronograph precisely at midnight, it can measure time for up to 12 hours. It also features hacking and simplified flyback functions, showcasing the unique creativity of Longines during a time when various manufacturers were experimenting with chronographs. This particular piece is a rare find with a snap-back waterproof case known as "Lip," which is also found in the 13zn model. The rare black dial further enhances the rarity of this individual piece."
