This is a mid-1940s Rolex Oyster Bubbleback Ref.2940 with a silver dial. The unique and intricate silver dial features an upraised small crown, Arabic numerals, wedge-shaped indexes, and dot night-luminous indexes, all of which have gained a wonderful vintage flavor over time. The 2-piece case, in which the bezel and middle case are integrated, has a solid construction, and despite its compact 31mm size, the watch has a distinctive presence as a Bubbleback model equipped with an automatic movement.
