A rare and beautiful early model from the late 1940s Longines, featuring the renowned Caliber 30CH with a flyback function, in a 37mm stainless steel oversized chronograph. The non-wing dial typical of the early 30CH is reminiscent of the classic design of the 13ZN, with its three-color scale, printed Arabic numerals, and leaf hands. The oversized case, with its stepped lugs, exudes a sense of presence, while the Côtes de Genève finish on the Cal. 30CH movement showcases a unique style from this era, not seen in later 30CH chronographs. Longines’ in-house caliber chronographs are firmly established as legendary movements in the history of watchmaking and are sure to continue being highly regarded. The Ref. 5966, known for its distinctive stepped lug design, was produced from the late 1940s to the 1960s and is a long-selling model equipped with the 30CH.
