This is a beautiful example of a 1930's manufacture Universal famous Cal.285 with 18k yellow gold flexible lugs chronograph 3 color scale dial with rare appliquéd indexes. The solid 18k gold flexible lug case, which is rare in this era when steel cases were common, has a cylinder design and a wide flat bezel, and the tachymeter (blue), telemeter (red), minute track (black), and snail tachymeter (blue) are included. It is equipped with Universal's famous Cal. 285, which was used in many chronographs from the 1930s to the 1960s. It is a rare piece that uses applied indexes, which is very rare for Universal watches of this era, when printed indexes were more common.
