1940s Rolex Bubble Back Ref.2940 Rare Applied Roman Dial in Stainless Steel

This is a mid 1940's production Rolex Oyster Bubbleback Ref 2940 SS rare Applied Roman Dial. It uses embossed applied indexes, which is rare for Roman indexes of this age where printed or luminescent indexes can be found. The three-dimensional gold Roman indexes have a luxurious feel, and the good texture and ageing of the entire surface evenly fascinates with its wonderful taste. The two-piece case, in which the bezel and the middle case are integrated, has a massive structure, and the presence of the bubble back, which is equipped with an automatic movement despite its small size of 31mm, is also attractive.
