1950s Lip Rare Pre-Nautic Diver Automatic Black "Special" Dial in Stainless Steel

This is a rare Pre-Nautic Diver automatic model. The black dial with "SPECIAL" sign, not "NAUTIC" with dolphin hands, and the rotating bezel with bakelite on the brass base, are precious gems with a design and construction different from later Nautic Divers, which is a unique aspect of the early models. The black dial with luminescence that has changed with age, and the screw-back waterproof case that retains a sharp edge despite its age and other signs of use are also appealing in their vintage-like atmosphere and well-preserved condition.
