This is a beautiful example of the rare "Aviator" black gilt dial Omega Ref CK2042 manufactured in 1940. The oversized 40mm case with turning bezel is not water resistant, but the black dial with aged radium indexes is a great vintage piece. Aviator CK2042 is known to have a black mirror dial with white lettering in the early period and a black gilt dial in the later period, and this piece has a later type black gilt dial with all the logos grounded out. A valuable archive is included.
