Omega, Cal. 33.3CHRO, very rare ”Ermetico", 1st water-resistant chronograph, black dial with snail tachymeter scale and breguet indexes, circa 1938.
The first water-resistant snap-back case, also known as an "Ermetico", known to have been produced until around 1940, when a screw-back version was introduced in 1941. The watch was in production for about two years, but its appearance on the market is extremely rare, and the number of watches made and in existence is believed to be very few. The snail dial with breguet indexes, a feature not seen on the later 2077 models, combined with the Ermetico case with its big pushers, gives this very rare piece a wonderful taste of the first water-resistant chronographs.
