Longines "Stop-Seconds Minute Recorder" with the famous Cal. 12.68z silvered tachymeter dial, circa late 1930s.
Equipped with the rare Calibre 12.68z, which adds a 60-minute counter to the regular stop-seconds model with a 60-second counter. By setting the hour and minute hands to exactly zero starts the chronograph which can time up to 12 hours. It also has a simple flyback function, and is a precious gem that shows the originality of Longines at a time when many manufacturers were creating chronographs by trial and error. The silver two-tone dial with a mechanical look unique to the middle four-hand model has changed to ivory color over the years.
