Manufactured in the late 1960s, this is a pristine example of a rare "NAUTIC-SKI" diver's watch by Lip, featuring an electronic movement. Unlike traditional mechanical timepieces driven by a mainspring, it operates on battery power, referred to as semi-mechanical due to its electronic components. Encased in the renowned EPSA Super Compressor case, known for its thick screw-back case with an inner bezel, it boasted a waterproof capability of 200 meters at the time. Unique features include luminescent indices with Arabic numerals and the distinctive lightning bolt second hand characteristic of electromagnetic timepieces, offering a distinctive design and craftsmanship typical of its era.
Overall, it is in excellent condition, with the original sticker still present on the case back. It underwent an overhaul in our store in 2018 and a battery replacement in March 2024. Due to its high power consumption, the battery life is approximately one year.
