A 1952 Universal watch, a very rare Poralouter model,?certified as the official pilot's watch of Scandinavian Airlines for its world's first flight across the Arctic Circle in 1954, proving its durability in corrosion, water, magnetic fields, extreme temperature changes and altitude. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, the SAS crew was awarded after it had crossed the Arctic Circle, the Poralouter watch with the SAS logo printed on the watch. It was equipped with the bumper automatic Cal.138SS before the micro-rotor, which was changed to the micro-rotor Cal.215 in 1955, and renamed to the "Pole Router" in 1958, making the Poralouter with Cal.138SS was very rare and was only produced for one year. It was also the first model designed by his Gerald Genta, who designed Patek Philippe's Nautilus and Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, and it is certainly a memorable model in watch history. A rare original box is included with the Polarouter.
