Longines, "Center Minute Recorder", equipped with Cal. 13zn-12, water-resistant, measuring 40mm in diameter, stainless steel, in mint condition, made circa 1940s. Based on the famous movement Cal.13zn, the Cal.13zn-12, which is considered to be the perfection of 13zn movments, with seconds subdial at 9 o'clock and minutes subdial at 3 o'clock. The 40mm water-resistant case with?screw caseback, one of the largest of all vintage Longines chronographs, is another rare quality that contributes to the overwhelming presence of this watch. It is the best preserved of all the 13zn-12s we have handled in the past, with a textured and aged radium luminescence on the dial and a heavy case that retains its original shape and volume. This is a true collector's item with a full complement of accessories including the archives, non-original vintage strap, original buckle and the original box. The Longines in-house calibre chronograph is a perfectly established masterpiece in the history of watchmaking and will continue to be appreciated and passed on for years to come.
