Cartier, open face pocket watch, EWC movment, diamond-set platinum case, circa 1920s. A pocket watch with a rare diamond-set platinum, a 19-jewel Cal. 17''' EWC (European Watch Clock) with 8 postures and a Campanile movement.? It is a wonderful movement that only EWC can offer, with its stunning finishes and amazing thinness. The dial has a matte white base with several different guilloch? patterns, rouletted small Roman numerals on a silver chapter ring, and blued steel Oriental Cartier hands, creating a beautiful and elaborate dial design. The case is made of platinum, which is a rare material in Cartier, where yellow gold is often used, and the sides of the case are set with diamonds. The case is 45mm in diameter and 7mm in thickness (including the glass), which is small for a pocket watch, but it has a sense of mass that only a platinum case can give. This is a very precious gem that allows you to enjoy Cartier's unique view of the world that no watchmaker can achieve.
