1938 Longines Cylinder Black Sector-Breguet by Eberhard-Milano in 18K YG

A 1938 Longines with a very rare black sector dial with Breguet indexes in 18 carat yellow gold with a 31mm cylinder design and equipped with Longines Cal.27.0. The embossed Breguet numbered sector dial, which was rarely seen in Longines, and which was also seen in the International and Omega watches of the same era, is a very rare example of a model that showed the wonderful design of this era. In spite of its small size of 31mm, the watch is a massive piece of work, made of solid 18 carat gold with a cylinder design, which, together with the black sector dial, gives it a presence that goes beyond its size. The dials "LONGINES" and "EBERHARD-MILANO" are gilt-edged, suggesting that they were specially produced at the time. An archival copy of the watch states that it was sold to Italy in 1939.
