A Breitling Chronomat Ref.188 'Jumbo Blue' manufactured in the 1970s. This rare model is equipped with the Cal.12SC movement and features a 48mm stainless steel automatic case. The Cal.12SC is a rare variation of the Cal.12 Chronomatic, which was introduced in 1969, with the chronograph module removed. The 48mm jumbo-sized screw-back waterproof case, seen in the Chronomatic models of the same era, and the vividly colored blue dial, capture the essence of the time, making this an exceptional and rare piece. Its unique construction, based on the chronograph, and its extreme rarity in the market have led it to be considered a prototype. It also comes with a later genuine strap and buckle.
