Manufactured in the 1940s, this is an "ALVIX" 18KYG cylinder chronograph with a rare black Roman spiral design. The beautiful glossy black mirror dial has a spiral design with gold tachymeter markings and Roman numerals printed in rouletted form, a wonderful dial design unique to the 40's. The 18KYG case, which matches the beautiful black mirror dial perfectly, is moderate in size but has the volume of a cylinder case. It is a hidden gem with excellent design and quality, even though it is an obscure type, such as the movement made by Venus.
