Longines, “Legend Diver”, Ref.7494, 42mm, stainless steel, diver’s watch, circa 1966.
From following the first generation diver’s watch Ref. 6921 that was introduced in 1959, this is the second-generation diver’s watch “Legend Diver” Ref. 7494. This model was produced until around 1966 when it retained its fundamental design but with different dial design, hand details, and movement.
Signed with “T SWISS MADE T”; a late model with the caliber 290; beautiful black gilt dial with a glossy finish; its logo color aged to ivory; and the screw-back, water-resistant case with an inner rotating bezel; with all these features compacted with a great balance in its big sized dial of 42mm.
