Aquastar, “Deep Star”, chronograph, stainless steel, Valjoux 23 powered, circa 1960s.
Aquastar was founded by Frédéric Robert in 1962, and introduced the Deep Star, the world’s first diving and chronograph watch with the same case design as the Aquastar 60 sold by its parent company Jean Richard. It has a robust screw-back water-resistant case with a rotating bezel (water-resistance up to 100m), a unique dial design dedicated to the chronograph function with luminescent coating. It is a gem that you can enjoy its impactful design and coloring reminiscent of the 70s. The watch comes with an NSA bracelet (for wrist sizes up to 20.5 cm), the same company that made bracelets for Aquastar, Heuer, and many other brands at the time.
